Manaslu Larke La Pass Trek – An Epic Himalayan Adventure
The Manaslu Circuit Trek, featuring the Larke La Pass (5,161m), is one of Nepal’s most thrilling and scenic trekking routes. This trek takes you through the heart of the Manaslu Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m)—the eighth-highest mountain in the world.
Unlike the more commercialized Everest and Annapurna treks, Manaslu remains remote and untouched, preserving its authentic culture and natural beauty. As you trek through lush forests, dramatic valleys, glacial rivers, and high mountain passes, you’ll pass ancient monasteries, Tibetan-influenced villages, and stunning alpine landscapes.
The trail starts at Machhakhola and gradually ascends through Sama Gaon, a traditional village where monks and nuns still practice Buddhism. The trek reaches its pinnacle at Larke La Pass, offering panoramic views of Himlung Himal, Kang Guru, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna Massif. After descending, the trek concludes in Besisahar, which also serves as the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek.
If you’re looking for a challenging yet rewarding Himalayan adventure, this trek is perfect for you.
